Tuesday Tech Tip – Migrating Data and Snapshots from FreeNAS to Ubuntu with Houston
Each Tuesday, we will be releasing a tech tip video that will give users information on various topics relating to our Storinator storage servers.
In this week’s tech tip, our lead engineer, Brett Kelly gives you the final of our three-part series on switching an existing server running FreeNAS over to Ubuntu and Houston. In previous weeks, Brett showed you how alerts, monitoring and snapshots worked inside our Houston Command Center running Ubuntu. This week, he will take a pre-existing Storinator running FreeNAS with automated snapshots, replication and storage pools and show you how to migrate it over to Ubuntu with Houston.
