Turn your Lenovo Legion Go into a Steam Deck! – Let's make the Legion Go better with Linux!
The Legion Go’s Windows software still feels half baked. Can Linux (Nobara) give a better experience?
In this video we are going to install Nobara on the Legion Go.
Note:
Press and hold the volume UP button and then the power button to get into the bios

It would be great if you could do a 1:1 comparison of Linux and Windows performance on the ROG Ally. The results I've seen from my own testing aren't good for Linux. I don't think RDNA3 is nearly as a optimised as RDNA2. Even my desktop 7900 XTX performs way worse on Linux, regardless of distro or tweaks.
No Steam Deck OS install runs perfect but hopefully one day it will be…
you erase windows completely by doing this right? if anyone can answer im new to this
after updating bios to v28 and trying this tutorial i can verify everything seems to be running well except for tdp issues ac or battery, this happens if swapping back and forth between the two or sleeping and resuming, there is also a very very slight sound lingering issue sometimes resuming from sleep after extended periods (hours). The tdp will fluctuate from 45w total system power to 20w total system power, rebooting fixes it.
First time here. What a cringe early 2000’s try hard with the stupid helmet gimmick.
It's not a bad idea, but you lose a lot of the features that make it what it is.
Great video – running great except for a few caveats.
One, how is your RGB working? Mine isn’t anymore. Not a deal breaker but would like to have the option.
Second, I play a lot of 2D pixel games like Blasphemous, Blazing Chrome etc. No matter the compositor settings I cannot get smooth scrolling on any titles. Played around with 144hz, 60hz – scrolling is just not smooth.
Does gane pass work on it too
What are the lowest tdp configuration? 5?
Limiting the pc just for the sake of having an easier ui
By make it better you mean take away it ability to play all steam games….
Can you do a test run with emudeck? Seeing this working great on a legion go maybe makes me change my mind and get one. I have a steam deck and wanting to buy the oled. But maybe a legion go is a better choice.
Can you suspend and re enable games like on the steam deck?
Can u still play call of duty?
And constantly have to tinker to get my games running on it (with limited success – some just don't work) like I had to with Steam Deck? No, thank you, never again.
I'm subbing just for the mask. Edit: And the dog
This question might be silly, but is there an improvement with FPS on games running on linux vs windows?
If so, by how much of a percentage would you think?
Would bsttery life be greatly improved also?
Great video. I was waiting for someone else to do a Linux Go before trying it. Thanks for the info!
Are the legion buttons working? Also TDP control?
