Tutorial | Microsoft Intune for Ubuntu

Microsoft has recently released Intune for Linux with Ubuntu as the first target platform.

As a mobile device management (MDM) software, Intune on Ubuntu monitors the endpoint compliance status and uses this information to make access decisions for resources protected by Azure Active Directory.

In this video, Canonical Product Manager Massimiliano Gori gives us a brief introduction and walks us through Microsoft Intune on Ubuntu.

  • Why would you not include the dependencies in a tutorial? If they don’t come standard then they are a part of the process. Lazy.

  • I've struggled so far with the encryption policy. When I choose to encrypt the disk during the installation or afterward, both cases show incompliant notes! Have any one encountered this?

  • When's support for 23.04 planned? Currently I can either have intune support or Azure Ad login on my device.

  • How does InTune know the user's passwords do not contain a symbol? Isn't it a security risk for programs to know user passwords?

  • I didn't know Intube. Thanks for these videos as I'm learning a lot

  • I don't like that Microsoft is taking over all of the free opensource projects. I like that they provide support for Ubuntu but I wish they would keep the Microsoft parts of the support optional… I stopped using Ubuntu Pro becuase of the conflicts it created with the new updates. I have made multiple tests, maybe its my hardware but I have been using it for a few years. It is only after I connected to the pro that the conflicts start to affect my usage. Stopping me from enjoy my favorite platform, I had to move to the closest good thing to it Manjaro…
