Ubuntu 14.04 Review – Linux Distro Reviews

==How many are still running 12.04? How many of you will upgrade?==
I review the new LTS release of Ubuntu, Ubuntu 14.04 the Trusty Tahr. This release is everything that a follow-up LTS release to 12.04 should look like. It’s stable, it looks better and it performs exceptionally well. Unfortunately, not all is perfect…but it is trusty.

  • <<UBUNTU CUSTOMIZED GLOBAL 14.04.3 LTS (Trusty Tahr) – BY SUB-ZERO>>

I AM OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING TO THE WORLD THAT I HAVE NOW (AGAIN, WITH MY PREVIOUS ONE BEING 12.04 LTS) COMPLETED MY MISSION OF REBUILDING UBUNTU DESKTOP 14.04.3 LTS TO MAKE IT A BIT MORE ATTRACTIVE AND READY TO USE, WITH MOST OF YOUR FAVOURITE APPLICATIONS (SUCH AS MS OFFICE 2010, GIMP, SKYPE, GOOGLE CHROME, ADOBE READER, ARTHA DICTIONARY, CONCISE OXFORD ENGLISH DICTIONARY, UBUNTU GAMES, ISO MASTER, ACETONE ISO, CHROMIUM BROWSER, ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS) FULLY INSTALLED AND READY TO USE.

AS MANY PERSONS WOULD KNOW, YOU DON'T HAVE TO INSTALL UBUNTU TO YOUR COMPUTER IN ORDER TO USE AND ENJOY ITS DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT; SINCE IT IS COMPILED IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU CAN BOOT INTO UBUNTU DESKTOP DIRECTLY FROM THE ISO OR DVD, AND USE IT AS IF YOU HAD DONE A COMPLETE INSTALLATION ON YOUR COMPUTER'S HARD DRIVE. JUST BOOT FROM THE DVD–OR ISO FROM A VIRTUAL BOX–AND CLICK 'BOOT UBUNTU CUSTOMIZED GLOBAL 14.04.3 LTS' TO TEST AND ENJOY THE WONDERS OF THE NOW STABLE, EFFICIENT, POPULAR OPERATING SYSTEM, DESIGNED WITH HUMANS IN MIND, AND THE CONCEPT THAT NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR AN OPERATING SYSTEM.

AFTER YOU CLICK 'BOOT UBUNTU CUSTOMIZED GLOBAL 14.04.3 LTS', YOU WILL SEE IT BOOTING UP WITH A BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM MADE PLYMOUTH BOOT BACKGROUND, AND THEN A NICE UNITY LOGIN DESKTOP WILL APPEAR. ON THIS LOGIN DESKTOP, YOU WILL SEE ONE USER–A GUEST LIVE USER. THE GUEST LIVE USER HAS SUDO (ROOT) PRIVILEGE FOR INSTALLING UBUNTU TO YOUR COMPUTER AFTER YOU FIND YOURSELF FALLING IN LOVE WITH IT; AND THAT PASSWORD IS SIMPLY password (ALL LOWER CASE).

PLEASE DOWNLOAD, TRY, INSTALL, AND GIVE YOUR FEED BACK ON WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS FULLY LOADED AND READY TO USE OPERATING SYSTEM?? MY EMAIL ADDRESS CAN BE FOUND ON THE GRUB LOADER AND PLYMOUTH BOOT BACKGROUND, AND THE SIZE OF THIS ISO IS 3.3 GIGABYTES (GB). THE DOWNLOAD LINK FOR THE ISO (UBUNTU-CUSTOMIZED-GLOBAL-14.04.3-LTS.ISO) AND TEXT FILE (WHICH YOU CAN READ FOR PASSWORD REMINDER OF GUEST LIVE USER) IS:

  • Ubuntu may actually become a 100% viable OS. I can see it becoming the Mac OS competitor, or even end up in commercial use.

Take it from me: Ubuntu is pretty awesome!

  • i'm new to Ubuntu should i download the LTV or the 15.xx would be fine?

  • How does the battery life compare to a windows 7 laptop?

  • Are there any major apps that dont offer a Linux download able version ?
