Canonical does not want you to know the 32bit Bionic Beaver is alive and kicking. It is a conspiracy of the highest order! Go grab the mini.iso, or otherwise known as the netboot image, from the interwebs and enjoy the simple elegance of the text based or ncurses installer made famous by Ubuntu of the olden days via Debian. The mini.iso is only ~50MB and installs whatever desktop you want directly off the interwebs. I install Ubuntu Desktop and show the three basic post install items to grab. Hope you enjoy.
