• I am trying to upgrade from 20.04. to 21.10. I follow the instructions and click upgrade when prompted using the GUI Software Updater. However, I am not given an option to install Ubuntu 21.10, because I am not asked for my Super User password. This has been going on for quite a while. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

• 1:20 Nothing ever happens when I click on Upgrade

• You don't mention what the minimum amount of disk space is needed to accomplish the upgrade

• One disadvantage with Linux Distros is not being able to make up your mind.

• This version sucks. The whole system is freezing randomly and I tried nomodeset it's freezing as well. I tried the right nvidia driver installation, it didn't solve the problem. Just don't upgrade if you didn't yet. I'm just trying to figure out how to downgrade without loosing any data

• Instead of using vanilla Ubuntu just get Linux Mint ffs, at least they are listening to feedback.

• Did this yesterday on my Ubuntu Cinnamon Remix, built on 21.04. That's my media PC plugged in to the TV. It went flawlessly, though it took nearly an hour. I had no problem with the hippo, myself. Why does everybody wanna hate on the hairy hippo?

• this release was so halfassed i'm looking for something else that's not too hard to get into that is somewhat light. any recommends?

• The full-light theme looks so ugly. Why did you even decide to do this? I doubt that dark title bars are that much work to do.

• Upgraded ubuntu 21.04 to 21.10 and it screwed all up. The color looks like it is on some sort of strange dark mode. All of the icons are all messed up. I'm looking for another distro now, this sucks.

• The only reason i don't run ubuntu is because of its default looks. But otherwise its a solid distro. Please do an ubuntu unity 21.10 overview 🥺

• The new Ubuntu installer isn't included with this version actually. I don't know why.

• I don't know why Ubuntu is currently being condemned for use in this new update and maybe canonical is right in protecting the packages since the growth of the linux platform is in sight. And with this fight over packaging Snap has been releasing apps very quickly I just don't recommend the most current apps only the stable ones so I defend in part the decision to define a new packaging with Snap

• @TechHunt , I'm not sure if you have any contacts with the ubuntu devs but there is a known bug with the installer that needs to be fixed and has been around for a long long time. Bug #1396379 This bug has to do if you try to installed Ubuntu onto another drive. What happens is that the installer installs the boot loader onto the first EFI partition that it finds. Even if you do a manual partition and tell it what drive to install the boot loader too. I just did this the other day and when I hit F8 to get the BIOS to list out the drives to boot from it shows Ubuntu on my Windows internal drive and not my external drive. Also the fstab is set incorrect and it is pointing to my internal drive. So much for moving the USB drive to another computer since it won't boot with no boot loader. You won't see this if all you are doing for testing is installing it in a VM. Think you can push to get this fixed please? I don't know if the new installer fixes this issue or not. But might make for a good video. Thanks a bunch
