• Hello, do you know why editing the .config/gtk3.0/gtk.css does not affect nautilus, vscode & other app on 23.04 titlebar thickness? It was thick af. The only affected app is the gnome-terminal, other apps doesn't shrink

  This is my complete code for shrinking the titlebar thickness, this works on 22.04 but on 23.04 it only apply to some application.

• Sorry for silly question. Ubuntu when I last installed it no matter what had poor audio quality and on discord it was horrible compared to my windows 10 experience. Do you perhaps know what I did wrong? I would like to learn linux but feel silly when my friend had to point out my awful audio on discord.

• its provides lots of error for installing graphic driver for AMD 6400 can you provide guidlines on how can i make it work. or by default i can trust the mesa drivers instead of vulkan

• No. Just did it. Not mind blowing. Gnome is still too basic also. New kernel… yay, you can do that yourself plus change the io scheduler. Um, I like Kubuntu and Ubuntu-Cinnamon. The Cinnamon release has some bugs. You cannot install Cinnamon after the fact yet because one package is broken. I like it though. I just need to change the scheduler or recompile the kernel to my liking. It's vanilla and Ubuntu has enterprise so I feel compelled to have one machine with it.

• On the site there is only 22.04 and 22.10. Where is 23.04? Also what is the difference in 04 and 10 versions?

• I'm liking ubuntu 23.04 on my "new" hard drive workbench. The dev of ddrescue-gui even made a new package for 23.04. I had some issues with 22.10 and I'm happy to see 23.04 seems stable, I did have to use the safe graphics mode during the install, it crashed with normal installer, but it booted fine in normal mode once installed. I love the included wallpapers especially the photo realistic "lunar lobser" wallpaper, it's very cool. I was using 22.04.

• It is the only version of Ubuntu worth using, simply because of thumbnail view in the file picker and native support for certain image files. Plus, updating to kernel 6 fixed almost all of the issues that plagued Ubuntu especially with it's failure to wake from suspend on a laptop.

• I'm a noob on 22.04 and it freezes from time to time. I am too lazy to backup my files. Any easy way to reinstall or upgrade to 23.04 without erasing my stuff in home directory?

• So, nothing new, just iteration upgrades from the upstream projects. Ubuntu is slowly going to fade away, but i hope it will not, thus its derivatives live or at least they use another base maybe debian.

• hard pass for me….it always fucks up your machine when you update your SO(at least since 20.04 that has been the case). For a fresh install that would be ok

• Dark theme does not display well on a small screen such as a cell phone or a smallish tablet.
