  • Corrections / Updates:
1.) Using sudo apt install {package.deb} will install with the dependencies, which dpkg does not check.
2.) Apparently the USB writer was as far back as 8.04…but has had a name change a few times. Not sure why I never saw that before, or even heard about it, as the inclusion of the tool in Linux Mint was always a selling point for me.

Once again, STL is FAKE NEWS!!!

  • what is happening with this new crocus driver for intel ? i can't configure sway or wayfire anymore i find no monitors (i have two)

  • The 24.04 LTS is on ubuntu releases website show all releases but the main website is not updated yet! got relesed 2 hours ago

  • i'm start use the good the bad the ubuntu in my real life

  • Don't forget gdebi… You can install that to manage .deb packages graphically.

  • Hello, me Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS here, perhaps I should update, but what should I go for?

  • He seems a little confused on the minimal installation option, and at least an LTS behind on some other things…

  • This means that we are getting a new Kubuntu 24.0X LTS release soon too. Sweet!

  • gui way to install deb has always been gdebi. apt-get install gdebi. for example, MS edge is .deb not a snap.

  • the new installer is a pain for btrfs. It doesn't work for timeshift snapshots like the old installer did.

  • As I love as for GUI, this distro looks not 'snappy' enough. Better stay with deb12 rn

  • What is it about that "Snap" what is the reason for Ubuntu pushing snap so much ? What is the benefit ?? Maybe it is a topic what is worth making a video about ?
