  – Official flavors are PREVENTED from pre-installing flatpak
  – Software Center is REMOVING and not allowing flatpak on it -> Ubuntu 23+

• This brings back memories when Canonical collecting data and phoning home, The list goes on and on with them. I gave up on Ubuntu back in the 90's and never looked back.

• Ubuntu is a piece of shit distro anyways, no one should use it. Canonical is just another shitty disgusting company. I'm glad I never used Ubuntu and I never will.

• I don't use snap or flatpak, but this is a bad move from them.

• Snaps are pathetic and weak technology/ Ubuntu does not want to see their baby die. The market, left to itself, will drift towards flatpak.

• Thanks for covering this Titus, I can't believe the lengths Canonical can go even with their not-official OS's. Calls into question what even is a Ubuntu flavor.

• Ubuntu: The Linux version of Windows
  I used Snap on Debian and wrecked my system with it.
  And now I've got 1 reason more not to use Ubuntu.

• Man I absolutely love flatpaks .. they make it so easy to create direct shortcuts tp all my emulated games the way I want it to be.

  Piss of canonical. My Linux Mint is fine.

  Going through the term works but I am sure some prefer to use a graphical frontend to install software.

• Goodbye, Ubuntu! I realize that Ubuntu will allow you to install flatpak & even remove snap. Ubuntu wants the flavors to standardize on their format.
