Ubuntu Community Model for GBV | Prof Mavis Mulaudzi weighs in
Healthcare workers are often the first people, that survivors of gender-based violence come into contact with, after their ordeal. The University of Pretoria, in collaboration with the universities of Venda, Limpopo, and North West have come up with the Ubuntu Community Model in Nursing. The aim of the model is to guide healthcare workers on how to deal with victims of GBV. It’s foundation will be the spirit of ubuntu.
