Flash is now defunct so I can finally run Ubuntu on my iBook G4!!
Jk I use a Thinkpad muahahahah
Hello
lol i thought why was this pc running so smoothly even though it was from 2003 then i noticed this video was filmed in 2010. I doubt it would run as smooth now even on the same OS because websites have become more resource demanding and heavier.
Damn, this video takes me back. Ubuntu 9 was my first distro, and 10 was much the same in pretty much everything. Now I'm using Linux Mint because I miss the old Ubuntu
In 2021, just get a 200$ laptop and install Linux on it. Cheap and easy
"when flash goes away"
a decade later, about time! 😀
1:20 ?
Try it now! It works great for me!
2021 flash is completely dead and disabled by adobe unless your in south africa
were did you download these?
I come from the future, from 2021 with a message… Flash is gone, dead, deprecated. You should now try HTML5 YouTube on Ubuntu Linux on this G4 :).
1:32 That aged well though I do not think this computer could play YouTube videos.
Adobe Flash foi pro espaço. "Esse futuro chegou"
hi, have you an idea what to do nowadays with an old Imac G4 7450 with old OSX 10.5.8 with 768MB RAM? No more browsers to download that still work safe. I am thinking about installing Debian Jessie..
Edit: I finally found out And the answere is no, because my old G4 7450 has a Nvidia Geforce MX4, which uses NV-Dirvers. They worked fine with version 11, but this version is only compatible with a very old Linux Kernel. Modern NV-drivers do not really support this Card. No other drivers for that card work with that PPC Linux right now. This is sad, because I have to look what I do with my old G4..
0:14 why does it say "IBook G4"? That is not real The 8-bit guy

what a coincidence i was just installing ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Ubuntu really has changed. But several UI elements did stick for a while, and Ubuntu 10.xx is basically identical to versions up to 14.xx, and even then 16.xx was still extremely similar. 18.xx was a bit different though.
I’m the first 1,000 liker
RIP Yellow Dog Linux
RIP Gnome 2
May i enjoy your picture for a very private and sensual reason. Ohhhhhhhh!!!!
Greeting from 2020 what's flash
"Perhaps in the future when flash goes away, this won't be a problem" He was probably not expecting that to be 10 years.
I don’t speak for 2010 but it’s easy to play DVD’s in 2019 — install a package called libdvd-pkg and reboot, then use GNOME MPV or VLC for fast video playback
1:47 american pie 2 LOL
1:22 Today Youtube runs on HTML5! (thanks for video!)
YouTube used to need flash. Ironicly, YouTube mighy suddenly work on that system.
can you credit music please ?
This is definitely gonna change with the power 9 computer from Raptor engineering. Especially since it uses more modern tech.
Hello from April 16, 2019. Hooray for the future! How did you know Flash would go away? You David are a genius. Btw I tried Ubuntu about 7 years ago on a PC. It worked okay but had significant unavailable drivers. 73.
The good old days of GNOME 2.
Showing off two of my favorite movies in just one video. Great 🙂
My first Linux distro Ubuntu 11.04 or 11.10 now for 5 year im using linux full time
We hated flash back then too
