UGLY USER INTERFACE!!! It's far beyond any basic android etc… smartphone…
i dont see any future on Ubuntu phone….
Am i wrong or is there no proper "home" or "desktop" on this OS?
***** just don't understand why they didn't use a phone with higher specs, or this is only preview version and the software still needs optimizing? By the way you mentioned 'Le Meridien' hotel, if I'm correct it is a 5 star hotel, did they paid for your stay? By the way Ubuntu OS looks so smooth when scrolling on that device keeping in mind that it's not high-end phone.
How many packages in the repos? Can you compile from source your own distro?
Oh, and another thing : packages provides binaries for the cpu or for some framework? Are they compiled, or it uses jit? Thanks.
60 fps…again
Mini nit pick. Why at a London launch would they gave you a non British plug. That seems random.
I'm still hopeful for a ubuntu touch/phone/whatevs rom for my various (samsung) devices. But they're older so I'm not holding my breath.
how much is this phone??
Es un buen cel y espero que este año eeste en guatemala
That's very nice but just out of curiosity who's funding all this? Don't tell me it's all from donations.
Thanks for making this video. I have ordered one, my friend in the netherlands got it for me, I can't to get it and get some videos up on my youtube channel. I wondered how many other US people got the very first ubuntu phone.
Those side bezels…

I think it will be an one of the
Top 10 mobile phone brands
is there Whatsapp application in that Phone
I'm a massive Google user too, could you tell us how is it possible to use Google services, even through the scopes? Can the hangouts be used with an another client? In the everyday life, messaging with Facebook or Twitter in Ubuntu Phone is handable?
Thanks for sharing.
Is the startup process always that slow or is it just when you switch it on for the very first time?
Great! i love it but i can not buy it to Vietnam
When, approximately, will this device arrive in the States?
Where I can buy it? 😮
Now you've had it a few days how is the device?
look like Nexus 5
it looks nice I wish it comes to US..I know android and apple has many apps but developers in linux can do better and add many apps and games in a future
It's to confusing. Where is the home button?
how is the camera quality?
looks like a mash up of iphone android and windows phones.. interesting !
So that's what 60fps looks like… O_o
Anyways, cool phone. Hopefully we'll start seeing some higher-end Ubuntu mobile devices.
Eduardo Carlos Franco Sibaja, BQ ensambla en china, pero el diseño del telefono, como las actualizaciones de software, o el servicio tecnico , son en españa
Puede que para la marca BQ haya sido un acierto apostar por ubuntu
That thing looks gorgeous !
Does it come with the same spyware regular Unity has?
UI looks nice, phone looks bad…from every perspective actually.. Specs, bezels, just doesn't seems right. Hope they will release something nicer and stronger this year!
Que fluido va ese SO ! lo unico que no me gusta es el terminal, no me atrae
Underwhelming would be the word is would use. The original concept way back when was far more impressive. I know they failed to meet their overly ambitious kickstarter goal, so had to pull it back somewhat. But even so, this is a mere grain of sand from the beach that the concept was. That one had a better looking device, better specs, far more intuitive and fluid OS.. Even the thing where you swipe and scroll with one fluid motion to access different menus has gone.. It doesn't have the capability to dock into a monitor to act as a Linux computer. Very disappointing. This is just an alternative to Firefox Phone rather than a traditional Android phone.
