  • I love this. Raspberry Pi and the like still don't have the performance of a flagship smartphone from 2017. How cool would it be to use our old smartphones as emulation boxes, servers etc

  • Please make video sailfish os on oneplus 6.And test what works and does not work, bug and function Overall what can it be

  • I've been looking to put postmarketOS on my oneplus 6, but maybe I should give this a go instead. I had forgotten about ubuntu touch haha

  • I use a lot GPS and Call Recording, Are them working good now?

  • I have a pixel 6 and really wish I could use linux on it.

  • Does it support HDMI over usb-c so that it can be used as a desktop machine when connected to an external monitor?

  • Thanks for sharing this test. I'm thinking about doing this to me old Oneplus 6t. After a year from making this video would you still recommend this OS?

  • Could you please make a guide on how to roll back to android from ubuntu touch. I played around with it for a few weeks and didnt quite like the UI.

  • I mean it has improved a bit over the years but both Android and iOS are lightyears ahead… this needs more funding I assume.

  • Do any of you know if I could get it installed on the Oneplus 8? Or a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s

  • If come this in to the market. It will be attack ios and android also. Coz linux is will also pop up like

    Macos + ios
    Linux + ubuntu touch

  • GPS needs a lot of time for the first fix and usually needs you to be not under a roof. Sadly there's no AGPS so that's how it work for now.

  • You can use it as daily driver? What about email, calendar, calculator, app store, games… It's far form a daily driver, it's just a concept

  • OnePlus 6 has insane support.

Android, Linux (Ubuntu) and even Windows on ARM. 🥰

  • This is giving me early Android vibes, like Donut era.

  • This OS has so much potential. But the problem is no one is even working on updates or making it streamline. There are things they need to go without on this.

  • This looks like it would be more useful on a tablet than a phone, it would be great for me to have a 7" or 10" tablet running full fat Linux that I could connect a keyboard and mouse to. Not sure I could live without Google maps and some other critical apps on my daily phone handset.

  • Nah, I would be better off using Linux Deploy. I use alma linux, it's fine even I can run Minecraft server or siteweb. I use by directory at /data/local. It's easy to transfer files

  • Hey, great video! Does the fingerprint sensor work?

  • Its not listed as supported device Xiaomi note 8t but can i still try to install it ?

  • Is it true UbuntuTouch has an immutable filesystem, & installing Linux desktop applications is difficult?

  • i want to neck myself after listening to this background music.

  • Hey i was wondering I plan to get a newer One Plus 8 or 9. Will this Ubuntu Touch work?
