  • I sense a lot of protests coming towards you because Borderlands is not using eON. Just saying.

  • 5:04 is surely wrong? I think you got the colours the wrong way around on the min/max bars.

  • Great video man, how about a revision post-proton revolution?

  • can anyone explain why I get much lower performance in Team Fortress 2 on ubuntu than windows? I installed latest nvidia drivers

  • i kinda hate window , i kinda disable window update , by the next time after i turn off and turn it on agian , there it again automaticly turn on the window update at the same time window anti malware execute also randomly running at background using most of my proccesser unit and network usage. ofcouse i already had it disable but not sure why it automaticly turn it on again whenever i reboot my system

  • I know this video is old but Damn its relevant. Great videos bud. Subbing.

  • I used to spend hours upon hours gaming after work. Haven't had a machine that can do it well enough, for nearly 3 years now.

I'm not biased on hardware. I like Intel and AMD. My first bought and built rig was a Phenom 1 with 4GB of DDR2 RAM. And twin 1GB 3870's.

    Then I moved to Intel/Nvidia systems. And had an i7 4770k, 16GB DDR3, and a Gainward GTX580 3GB.

My questions to you are. If I'm to get back into gaming. Preferably on Linux (Ubuntu). Am I better off with any particular vendors? And if I'm to use any of the available Linux distros. If it were Ubuntu for example. Am I limited version 16, 17. Or can I use the latest version- 18?

I just don't know any of this information anymore.

I appreciate any information you can provide. Cheers.

  • dude where tf have you been. we need updated videos on pci passthrough, with all the recent linux gaming developements like dxvk and other shit, you need to show the world whats up man. You done took a year off making videos get back on track bro come on!

  • When most if devs make their games native to Linux is the day M$ dies … Congrats to Valve and Bohemia, their games can be played on Linux natively. Linux runs native games better than win !!!

  • be careful with opengl perfs… mainly if you didn't compiled yourself the driver… for your distribution…

  • How is CSGO performs better in average on Linux when on Windows both the Min and Max stats are higher?

  • think about this ! if u have company OR use pc for busines then u can say FUCK U GATES AND APPLE linux is FREE

  • hey man, thanks a lot for your video. It's very well done and objective. I hope to see Vulkan APIs in much more games soon. I've just tried Doom on both Ubuntu 16.04 and Windows 10 and got a full 20% more on the first for what concerns FPS.
    Thanks again and good job!

  • I like what you have to say about telling companies about the need to port to Linux … it would be good if we could get that to happen, because I have been annoyed by Windows increasingly allowing both advertising on my desktop ( which I think is rude ) along with all the privacy invasion etc.

  • Performance isn't the issue when it come to linux it's compatibility. There aren't enough developers creating their games for Linux.
