Ubuntu What Are You Doing

In this video, have a look at Ubuntu 23.10. This is not a review, but rather a mickey take out of one of the leading Linux Distributions. From Snaps to the weird way that Canonical still claim that they are still Debian based, yet in their package shop or Ubuntu Software Centre, they just have Snap packages only. I know this video is late to the table, but I try to pack so much stuff in, in five minutes.

  • Ubuntu Studio OS is far better than Ubuntu, mainly because they use KDE Plasma!

  • This was not very helpful.

For example what destop environment should I use if i have a convertible laptop and want a good touch experience?

  • Ubuntu is actually not that bad and Gnome is highly customizable. The only reason I wont use it is snaps. Ubuntu is snappy, has great hardware support, and actually works pretty well. Synaptic package manager is about as outdated as windows 98. I do like Linux Mint better. If you hate on Ubuntu you sure should not recommend Debian. Hell if you install a theme on Debian it breaks.

  • what is this stupid whining, also very incoherent, how is Linux Mint any better?

  • Listened up to the point where you tell Ubuntu to ditch Gnome and "go elsewhere"… It took 24 years to build Gnome and it is still not perfect. Do you suggest Ubuntu to start implementing something different, something better? Just wait 20 years or so… 🙂 Oh, and Ubuntu is free, so who is going to pay for the development? 🙂 It just doesn't make any sense.

  • Canonical should just let users have choices and not ship snap at all, let the users have freedom of choice ffs.

  • I just subscribed because it shown 199 and then i make your subscriber 200 boom 💥 .. congratulations

  • If I were to use Ubuntu I'd jsut use Windows instead

  • Ubuntu is just run perfect for me absolutely hardware support i have no problem with snap coz snap are stable

  • It's the only distro I've tried that ran stable on my desktop. Mint, Elementary, Manjaro and a few others all seem to randomly freeze for a few seconds constantly. And once in a while the entire system crashes. Probably some hardware issue, I have no idea. But Ubuntu – runs perfect.
