Upgrading to Windows Server 2008 R2 from Windows 7. Is it possible?

In this video, I will attempt to upgrade to Windows Server 2008 R2 from Windows 7 whilst keeping user data and programs without having to do a clean reinstall. In other words, upgrade a client version of Windows to a server version of Windows.

It is generally not possible to upgrade a client version of Windows to a server version of Windows. However, I will conduct a few workarounds in attempt to perform a successful upgrade.
