I knew what virtualization was, but had no idea how many things you can do for storing your VMs, connecting using a virtual switch or managing them.
With this book I think I have not only a good visión of all that (without having to collect them from here there on the internet), but also new skills to handle my VMs because the book is quite practical.Instructions in book are common to all Linux plattforms, so no worry whatever distribución you use.
In few words, good book for those already efficient in Linux that would like to quickly learn about KVM.
An excellent book on virtualization, I havent found any book which detail the internals and details of virtualization technology. A simple book to read, packed with practical trading knowledge you can use.
You will learn a lot on KVM, Qemu, Libvirt..etc from this book. I recommend this book for everyone who use virtualization or want to learn about virtualization.
The best KVM book out there to get a really good foundation and pretty good knowledge. Pretty well written but would have liked more in depth examples. Chap1 is far too long and is pointed directly at developers.
The author does an excellent job in puttying theory to practice. Very well balanced. This book is on my A list…A very thorough work..
Great book for me to get into KVM having experience with Xen virtualization. I ended this book with clear concepts for getting myself started with KVM. Lots of reference and initial steps to further useful tools related to KVM based solutions.
