Using NXLog to Collect Windows Event Logs to Syslog Watcher

This is a 4 minutes video to show how to download, install, and configure NXLog to work with Syslog Watcher, or any other syslog servers.

The main part is to have nxlog.conf file configuration correct.

You will need to put at least three sections into conf file:
1. Input
2. Output
3. Route

  • I like the music choice here! I also enjoy seeing the older OS win7 and win server 2008.

  • can I filter nxlog.conf, so that I receive only error-or-warining messages ?

  • If nxlog is in Windows 10, What is the input command? thank you good video
