Analysts estimate there to be 400 million connected vehicles on the road by 2025. With each car capable of generating gigabytes of data a day, Vehicle-to-Cloud (V2C) connectivity and standards are imperative to efficiently reducing costs and complexity. This breakout will provide an overview on Vehicle-to-Cloud (V2C) concepts, why it matters for the automotive industry and how the AGL V2C Expert Group is teaming up with COVESA (and other open source projects) to create a provider-agnostic reference platform for exchanging data between vehicles and cloud providers using industry standards.
