It is not too bad, downloads movies and will come in handy when I go camping . The screen is a good size . Came with 16gb also has a option for microsd.
Came safely and fast in the mail. Product was everything it was advertised to be.
Battery runs out quickly… But other than that like new!
Im old and slightly stupid. When Verizon salesperson said the Ellipsis 8 tablet would cost me $30 and the Zagg Folio Case with Keyboard $99.99, I thought that was the total cost.
Liked the keyboard/case and thought I could put enough things on micro SD to keep me occupied while flying or out and about.
I didnt realize there would be a phone line charge of $40/mo until contract expiration and that I needed to make sure data is turned off to not incur additional data charges.
Stupid. I know. Im the data enforcer for grandkids and 72 year-old husband. So far Ive kept them away from the Ellipsis. Own a Nexus tablet and Chromebook used exclusively via WiFi.
Thought the Ellipsis 8 was going to be WiFi only, too. Silly me. An inexpensive tablet became expensive when you multiply monthly line fee by number of months till contract expiration plus data charges.
Especially since it will be only used outside of WiFi zone a few times a year. As far as the tablet itself, with the Zagg Bluetooth keyboard it is usable for me.
Takes a while to get used to tiny keyboard. I need a mouse but no USB connection. Screen gets covered with finger prints without mouse. I carry a little micro fiber cloth and wipe screen constantly.
Tablet fits inside a large purse but with keyboard/case, it is heavy. Too heavy for me to use as a book reader. Cant hold for more than a few minutes and strains my neck to use on lap.
Touch screen is either too sensitive or I have to touch multiple times. Owned less than a week so think this may be learning curve. Picture is fine for me.
