  • 8:30 yeah, i think that without criptocurrencies, ransomware would almost cease to exist. Having a way to move money that cannot be traced is very advantageous for criminal activities.

  • Outgoing vIP set to up on local network local-ip/32 and make sure it's static locally. You can do /31 /30 /29 if you want to route more then 1 or add each as /32 from memory.
I have a PFSense as a VM in XCP-NG with about 30-40 Public IPs routing in the DC

  • @Tom,OMG! I thought I was alone in being miffed by advertisements masquerading as articles. I've even gone so far as too call out some major players, even referring to ArsTechnica as AdsTechnica. I've only been met with jeers and sneers, and found your statements reaffirming. TY for bringing it up.

  • For the domain issue with self signed certs, i've been having luck with a domain name registered that i use only for internal services behind a caddy reverse proxy using porkbun api for verification and pihole to help route the internal traffic.

  • Immich is having a FUTO moment.

  • To the comment by Patric Jacobson – yes you can use a VIP for outgoing traffic. You have to create a NAT rule via Firewall – NAT – Outbiund

  • What I don't like about Immich is it doesn't seem to be made to point at an existing folder of photos and be a front end for that the way Jellyfin works. It's built around uploading photos directly to it.
