Volla Phone with Ubuntu Touch – Short Review

I decided to make a short review about the Volla Phone running Ubuntu Touch.
I don’t think it is a totally bad device but the old hardware shows speed issues that its not really fun using the system as everyday device.
It can not compete with any Android device in the 300€ price region.
More likely its a 150€ device with some interesting features like Qi-Wireless charging.
Ubuntu Touch does not run smooth on this device and would clearly benefit from a bit more powerful hardware.
For me this is hardly an every day device as the speed issues are a bit to severe. However for light calling, browsing, navigating and listening to music or podcasts aswell as some low resolution videos this might be a good device with a mediocre camera that lacks the flexibility of nearly all competition in the Android world right now.

What do you think?
I am judging it too harshly?
What do you expect from a successor? Better hardware? Better build? Better pricing?
Did I miss the point of this phone?
