What is Linux? | How to get started | Linux Mint

In this video, I attempt to appeal to a windows user’s perspective; answering the questions: “What is Linux?” and “How do I get started?”, by going over the basics of a few core concepts you need to understand before diving in. I go over what an operating system is, with some examples you’ll be familiar with. Then, I compare and contrast Windows versus Linux by also explaining Open Source and Proprietary Software, and some of their fundamentals. I end off by showing you how to install Linux Mint, and encourage you throughout to do your own exploring in the vast sea of Linux.
