how to repair windows 7

  • The thing is, most of us don't want the established UI thrown out every few years, and for businesses it can be a training nightmare. It's something they do because it's hard to sell something that doesn't look different from what you have, the same reason cars are completely overhauled every few years.

  • I've unsubscribed, cannot believe Brian any longer Windows 11, stops and starts as it feels fit, PC is 2.5 years old reasonably fast system until W11 got hold of it. Goodbye

  • Amazed by some of the negative comments you're getting for this. Seems that, if you say something people don't like, you must be being paid by Microsoft.
There is stuff I really don't like about Win11, and most of the complaints I see are about the incessant marketing/data slurping Microsoft are intent on (I agree), people wanting to customise (as an office user, I don't care), or about hardware compatibility. On the last point, Microsoft have always had the problem of when to move on from old architecture. People complained about them moving away from 32 bit, but it HAD to happen for computing to move on. Apple don't have compatibility issues because there are so few options – they make the hardware and they only have to support what they have sold. Linux is pretty good for drivers, but even that's not perfect, especially with WiFi and GPU cards.
Thought the video was perfectly well balanced. If people have left negative comments, at least the algorithm (the marketing thing, that they don't like in Windows) will be happy

  • windows 11 works very well, at first I was also afraid that my programs that worked well in 10 would not run in this version or would crash, but I decided and mailed win11 and everything installed fine and works very quickly!

  • A safe tool that is safe to use is win areo tweaker it is a decent tool that helps with SAFELY TURN OFF the bloat without screwing up your system and it’s kept up to date

  • It's a matter of knowing your way around instead of complaining. Most people screw up on install don't let it just run read the fine print. I just put the bar on the left, install open shell for classic start menu, install Firefox, Google as home page, go to settings and turn on high performance

  • Windows11 is bad because you actually need to use software to make it usable, I hate it because, demand for MS account, ADS, start menu, extra context menus, spread out and mixed around settings in old and new places that don´t do the same things, hardware requirements, bloatware, extreme spyware by default. extremely boring and limited user customizations in themes, all the messages you get from all things as a standard, the constant nagging about using all MS services if you are not logged into them, the removal of Wordpad so that you will pay for 360, I could keep on giving more reasons. I think I stick with the opinion that the direction MS is taking really freaking stinks

  • Linux Mint is just so much easier to use. No forced updates, no telemetry/tracking, no forced restarts, no AI stuff I don't need or want, start menu still works the same way, doesn't add an extra right-click… I only need Windows for a few programs so I run a Windows 10 VM in a virtualbox.

  • How can you say windows isn't as bad as it's reputation? You know that windows 11 still uses code from windows 3.1 and u can also find code from win95… I use win11 since 1 week and i'm getting mad. I have a day off tomorrow to downgrade to win10 and install a linux distro for coding, browsing an daily tasks (ubuntu, debian or mint… not decided yet). And a Kali distro, but thats for my job, so this doesn't matter.
I will use windows only for gaming and nothing else. Linux made so much progress over the last years that it is a nobrainer to decide against windows. Ads, telemetry and so on…. This OS is just bad (i loved win2k, xp, 7 and even 10 was ok).

  • Linux golden age is coming. MicroBloats era is coming to end. This will be the beginning of Linux computer era.

  • Everyone don’t use Windows 11!! Windows 11 sucks ass just like the rest of MicroBloat’s trashy products like crappy edge, trashy search and Winblows 11. Instead, move to Linux and use google chrome. Period full stop.

  • Can you recommend an OS? I don't want to re-learn too much, and these are my priorities: GAMING performance. Stability. Security. Privacy. My machine is 95% for gaming, 4% for YouTube (and I hate that), and the last 1% is split evenly between image collecting and email. I am totally cool with having to hit the web to find what I need. I DON'T need VM support, printer support, scanner/tablet/pen drivers, and the GIGABYTES of crap that come with Windows. Windows 95 fit on a 710 MEGABYTE drive, and left room for a ton of other stuff. I just don't need most of what Redmond thinks I need.
    THANKS.

  • Chris Titus warns that uninstalling certain features like remove edge or one drive for instance will cause problems. He provides many how to safely use his windows deblote tool. like anything use at your own risk but used correctly it is a great tool

  • Windows 11 is indeed bad, but not as bad as windows 8 and 8.1

  • I "debloated" my Windows 10 well over a year ago, It never had any issues until it demanded an update in January, after which it would bsod until I did a restore point, I am never using Windows again after this rig, compatibility be damned.

  • Because of MicroBloat stupid decisions and adding to much useless features, everyone are had it windows 11. Had it!! Soon, MicroBloat will go bankrupt. Everyone is moving to Linux. Linux is becoming the most popular computer because of Windows 11 failures. Linux will become more successful and become the most dominant pc after the demise of windows.

  • All the stuffs you say could cause disable windows updater , YOU KNOW THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT
I don't want forced updated my system.

  • Is there a written document of what is safe to delete or turn off to debloat and de-telemetry-ize Win11?

  • Because since Windows 2000 it has only gone downwards all the time. Majority just follwing trends just does not realize.

  • Yeah I 100% disagree with you here. Probably where I draw the line with this channel. Windows 11 is a dumpster fire and I can't believe anyone is shilling for it. Shame…..

  • That's why Microsoft does things like ads, etc. because a lot of people think like you (yeah there is ads and a settings to change but it's not that bad.) And yes you can change the settings but you failed to mention that after updates some of these settings are reset so you have to do it all over again its a pain.
Also, there are many bugs like file explorer buggy and slow, useless widget panel, microsoft is so busy including AI everywhere and putting ads they should focus more on bug fixing.
It was so funny I read the release notes for one of their release builds leave it to Microsoft to include in their release notes that they're adding ads oh sorry they call It recommended apps.
We need to push back and stop accepting all the crap they're pushing on us.

  • My friend, alot of things now days are bad….from movies to TV to games to computers there is a major slump and separation in what the people want and what the corp will get off its lazy butt and do.

  • 0:34 but that doesn't make it necessarily a bad operating system um yes it is a terrible operating system, as you just mentioned you before this line you said there are a lot of ads and a lot of settings you have to turn off. This is NOT an ideal operating system, especially if you have paid for it. Windows 95 all the way to Windows 7 felt like a simple operating system, you didn't get pop ups (all though Windows 7 eventually did for migration to Windows 10), the previous operting systems didn't force you to do a lot of changes or force you into a microsoft account, it was just a simple operating system that allowed you to get your work done.

Windows 10 and onwards is just so bloated (yes its very bad on crappy hardware and even on virtualbox compared to Windows 7) and so much annoying popups. I remember once I was watching something and a popup came up to update your computer and I pressed escape and it forced an update within few minutes, closing all of my stuff. Continously I would get notifications to "sign in to microsoft" crap, or when you start your PC it will "remind you" to sign in with a microsoft account in full screen and they would have a tiny button that says "remind me in 3 days".

Also when you are installing either Windows 10 or 11, for privacy questions you can either select to send additional information or basic information to microsoft, is there an option to send 'NO DATA'? It goes to show you how little control you have over the operating system.

Windows 11 also has such obnoxious hardware requirements, you have to have tpm2 and other stuff otherwise your computer belongs in landfill after windows 10 goes away.

I have moved to EndeavourOS (arch linux) using xfce. It is so much better, it feels like Windows XP except with more modern look and feel. It is simple, it doesn't have popups and I can just use the damn thing without problems like Windows 10/11.

  • Why is everything Micrsoft make so bad. Just check out Teams running on the browser option, I couldn't understand why there were issues when on a call, when i opened up task manager and saw my CPU usage, it went right up to 75%, when closed and running Discord and YouTube it went down to 19%. And I was thinking it was my laptop that was the problem. Microsoft and their operating system and some of their apps are bad, they suck, and I use Windows 11 Pro…!

  • I actually started using Edge its faster than Chrome and better!
Also Win 11 feels cool I removed the annoying things and it feels better than 10 also way more secure as he said in the video!

  • My Windows 11 machine runs great but yeah, Windows 11 sucks. 8 and 10 suck too. Typing this from Windows Vista 64 Ultimate – still sublime after 18 years.

  • Actually, Windows 11 is kinda bearable now for those who hate bloatwares. Windows now let's you uninstall apps unlike before… Apps like Camera, Media Player, Notepad, Photos, and so on, unless it's a system components. But… BUT! You still can't uninstall Edge 😂

  • Windows 11 is so bad because Bill Gates left. Now you just have the insane running the asylum and they don't have a clue what their customers want!

  • I use Windows 11 (Home) and I like it a lot. I like edge browser too as it helps me create progressive web apps. Though my main browser is Firefox and Vivaldi. I can tweak Windows to disable widgets, move home button to left side etc. Windows has been very stable for me and works without giving any issues at all. The software I use work on Windows and it is my learning machine as a student, work machine, gaming machine and it works very well. It does so much more than any other operating system and for me has been free from all glitches and errors on my HP Omen 15 Gaming Laptop because I don't tamper with my Windows install, and don't do any bad things on my system and buy all my high quality software.

  • Windows 11 uses almost the double system requirements as windows 10.
Microsoft still dont understand that people want simplicity. Windows vista was full of garbage and noone really liked it.

  • Do I take it Brian, you will no longer promote any scripts or tweak tools unless they come from MS?

  • Can the majority of everyday ordinary users be expected to learn Group Policy Edit? Is there a case to convince MS to make the default settings to "simple" and let the power users to enhance.

  • Windows 11 user Interface is not an Upgrade. It's Windows 10 messed up!
