Microsoft Windows Server 2016 is a server operating system develop to share services & resources with multiple client computers and provide administrative control of data storage, softwares and corporate networks.
There is some hardware requirement for the installation of windows server 2016 like Processor should be minimum 1.4 GHz & 64-bit compatible, minimum RAM is 512 MB or more for better performance & Hard Disk space require is minimum 32GB or at least 80-100GB for c: drive.
I am using Oracle virtualbox in which I have already created virtual machine for windows server 2016 containing 2 GB RAM, 60 GB virtual hard disk. I have ISO bootable image of windows server 2016 downloaded from Microsoft website. The installation process takes about 10 to 15 minutes or depend upon computer speed. During installation, windows server 2016 reboot two times. At the end of the installation process it prompt to set the administrator password. Administrative password should be complex means it should contain letters, special character & numbers.
As we login windows server 2016 the server manager automatically opened. The server manager is a tool or console to manage & configure the windows server 2016. After installation completed I have done some basic configuration like desktop icons, change computer name, time zone.
