Windows Server Datacenter gives Unlimited Virtualization rights. So If I license the Physical Server with Windows Server Datacenter 2022 and then create 10 VMs on it , do I neee to license those 10 VMs separately or are VM Licenses covered by Physical Core Datacenter License ?
Are you sure Linux VM’s are not counted in license counts?

So after installing Windows Server 2022 and enter the product key for Windows Server 2022 Essentials, then when checking the installed OS or using Winver command, I will see it as Windows Server 2022 Standard, not Windows Server 2022 Essentials ?
Very informative..Can you also include SQL licensing as well.
Also, if we are using third party hyperV does that mean the window server licensing would be provided or covered by third party.
