Wirelessly Transfer Files To Your Switch | FTP TUTORIAL

Hillo folks! New tutorial here! In this video I’ll be covering the setup of using FTP apps on your Switch and PC. Which will allow you to wirelessly transfer files from your PC to your Switch and vice-versa. This is incredibly useful as you don’t need to take out your switch sd card when transferring files such as: homebrew, sys-modules, screenshots/videos, or mods.

Running the mods shown here will most likely NOT result in a ban, BUT this is entirely up to you if you want to take the potential risk. I personally rarely ever exit out of CFW and have continued to play online and use the eShop for a few years now without being banned. If you would like to see what specifically results in a ban then check here for more info:

  • Hello weird situation but i have 2tb sd card but only 30gb computer can I download games to a type of cloud or something ?

  • thanks a lot, this was a big help!

  • Thank you for this!! I have a couple of questions though; it’s not letting me rename the entry in ‘site manager’ for some reason the ‘rename’ option is greyed out for it? Also when I am done with accessing all my files do I literally just close the software on my pc and exit out of the ftpd client on my switch after? I know it might seem a silly question but I just want to make sure I don’t corrupt my files by doing anything the wrong way as I’m still very new to all this.

Edit: nvm I worked it out.

  • 1 thing i never see a tutorial how to download atmophsphere

  • I'm not a subscriber, but you've certainly earned a like. Cheers.

  • hello, i get 550 I/O error when i try to use FTPD, can you help?

  • i cannot copy anything anymore, anything i copy gets deleted immediately

  • So what do I do if my ip address is different from my switch?

  • every time I try to connect filezilla tells me could not connect to server and the connection times out. Im using ftpd pro v3.1.0 and windows 11 64 bit. also i allowed firezilla through the firewall

  • For me, it's extremely slow. I wanted to delete the 'atmosphere' and 'bootloader' folders, and that took about 40 minutes.

  • sys-fpd-light crashes atmosphere when ever I open the sys modules in the tesla menu. I think it's because I'm on 16.0.2. Do I really have to downgrade to get an ftp server running in the background?

  • I've heard that I have to use 90DNS or Incognito to block Nintendo Servers before doing this, to avoid bans. Is that required?

  • Great Tutorial Manito Clear and instructive content.
    Keep up the good work.
    Thank You.

  • I’m using a 256GB micro SD card. With 225GB left. When I transfer or try to with a file that’s roughly 13GB I eventually get a message saying the file is “too large.” This happens when I’m NOT using FTP. I stopped using it for large files as it was transferring too slow. Do you know why this might be happening?

  • you look like a real life elf
