Word of the Day: UBUNTU (togetherness / family / community)
Join me and my friends this Thanksgiving* as we discuss what the word UBUNTU means. There truly is no parallell in the English language to this special word! It describes the sense of community we have in Africa, how it takes a village to raise a child and how when one needs help, family and friends will be happy to give it! Have I mentioned I LOVE South Africa? 🙂 It’s community like this that makes this country so special! 🙂 When are you coming to visit?
*Thanksgiving is an American holiday, but more than a third of our church is comprised of Americans so we get to experience this special holiday every year! I’m not lying when I say it’s my favourite day ever! – Great food, wonderful fellowship and worship and games …. what’s not to love?!
