World’s First Raspberry Pi Pico Camera! (Teaser)

We did it, again! The good o’ Arducam Mini SPI camera you all love can now run on the Raspberry Pi Pico! Learn more here: http://bit.ly/3oGg89r

Raspberry Pi is entering the microcontroller game, and we want to warm it up with what we do best: camera modules.

This Arduino-like-yet-more-powerful board built out of the RP2040 chip, which’s dubbed RPi Si by the foundation, is opening another door for the maker community.

Currently, it is only capable of capturing at 4 frames per second with a 320 x 240 resolution, we will continue to make further improvements, and this is just the beginning, here’re our plans for the Pico platform:

More machine vision (TinyML/MicroPython/TensorFlow Lite ) projects & tutorials
More camera sensors
Exclusive Pico based multiple-camera solutions / camera clusters

There have already been hundreds of Arducam-Mini-inspired projects out there, making this camera an actual thing for the Pico means a lot for us, and we can’t wait to see what you are going to do with it!

By the way, If you already own our Mini Arduino camera (2MP), you can use it with Pico right away, here’re the codes: https://github.com/ArduCAM/RPI-Pico-Cam
