It depends on the country you are born in.
In India you past matters, your education matters,
your education gap matters, your career gap matters.
Most Indian tech companies have these criteria as part of their job application.
Indians have a big list of biases based on which they judge the world.
Indians are especially obsessed with other people's lives & their past.
They will stalk others & dig out their past to harass them.
I appreciate David for many reasons. Mostly because his content is interesting and informative. His efforts to educate and empower folks to stand on their own feet goes way beyond admirable, quite noble imo. So cheers to you David. Keep up the good work sir.

it's amazing how tech can change your life, it did for me, however the abusive behavior from tech companies makes your passion to go away with time, I'm in a position where I would love to acquire more knowledge but switch jobs to something non tech related
IM in Qatar I passed my ccna but is nobody care since 3 months no job called me 🙁 maybe nobody care about cisco , Nowdays company just hire anyone then give him or her trainning so nobody care about certification
