  • I paid for it. This project deserves the support.

  • I think making it paid is against soul of gpl, even it technically is legal. I don't see how this is any better than any other ubuntu skin liku kubuntu. Kubuntu looks a lot more like windows and is completely free. Even my almost 50 years old mom was able to switch to linux thanks to kubuntu.

  • You forgot to mention the Zorin Lite version. But it looks like there won't be any more Lite versions after 17. No, WINE is not good on the latest Zorin. Notepad plus plus is really a snap that has everything in it to run that app, including all the stuff from WINE. So it is not really regular WINE. It's a snap that contains WINE. It isn't going to make WINE work for anything else.

  • WOWWW!!!! amazing video bro! keep up the good work, Love the content, Im subscribing.. Hope you hit all your goals!

  • I wasnt able to install google chrome so i deleted zorin os

  • Every time I have tried this distro, it seemed a bit buggy as well as sluggish.

  • I have zero issues with paying for a distro. I donate to KDE and would pay for Fedora but cant, as they dont take donations.

So I try to help in the community.

but the distro for me was and felt the exact opposite. installing it always failed, especially if I would just try to use BTRFS.

the desktop looks like a hack between GNOME and a traditional one, for example pressing the super key launches the GNOME app menu, while the appmenu button in the bottom left has a traditional one.

i want to give GNOME another try, and really try it. I think they simply have a bunch of hillarious apps. like the text editor?? while KDE has Kate?? or the image viewer with literally no editing capabilities? even image roll is better here.

or how they just broke KDE apps, the theming was completely broken (dark icons, random color differences).

they might improve because they start to follow standards like portals. KDE also fixes their apps now by just including all the used Breeze icons (because Adwaita is not FDO conformant, while they claim to be).

i am a happy KDE Plasma user and there are like 15 valid reasons why I think it is better, but I would maybe try to use GNOME again?

many of my favourite apps are GTK: Decoder & Authenticator (onlx QR scanner and 2FA app on Flathub), Celluloid, G4Music or Lollipop (fast and beautiful vs the one with needed features)

but ZorinOS? I dont get how they are good in what they try to do. kind of, but if even the windows support is behind Nobara, and for security conscious people, Bottles/Lutris with ProtonPlus, I dont know.
