What is an OU Windows Server?
An organizational unit (OU) is a container within a Microsoft Active Directory domain which can hold users, groups and computers. It is the smallest unit to which an administrator can assign Group Policy settings or account permissions.
How do you create an OU?
Open the Active Directory Users and Computers mmc snap-in (Win + R
dsa. msc) and select the domain container in which you want to create a new OU (we will create a new OU in the root of the domain). Right click on domain name and select New Organizational Unit. Specify the name of the OU to be created.
