Microsoft has rectified a bug causing blue screens and boot failures in Windows Server 2022 virtual machines on VMware ESXi hosts, specifically those using an AMD Epyc processor. The issue was initially reported after last month’s KB5031364 cumulative update. The fix comes within this month’s KB5032198 Windows Server 2022 cumulative update. Temporary solutions are also available for those unable to immediately install the latest updates.
