I'm excited.
One thing that often gives W.Alexander away is a head nod he likes to use, forward and tilting to the one side with eyes locked in a stare. Despite the makeup it is the same expression as iconic as Spock's eyebrow lift.
So Brent admits the truth about DS9 and B5… That darned Freud and his slips.
William is invested in doing a good job.

The banality of evil.
Which is worse. Creating the lie or knowing the lie and still participate?
The vast majority of people don't care. If it doesn't interrupt their lives. They don't care who or what is running the show.
This episode would be amazing as a play. No flashy special effects…. only time they're out of the room is when they're in the hallway on the way to "Room 17"… this would make a very good play.
To Jeff's ending comments where he mentions 'room 17' and there being at least 17 rooms that this is going on in..
But is there? Everything with this experience they are putting Sheridan through, even by your words, is precisely designed to be seen or heard in a specific way. You cannot trust 'anything' shown to you, or told to you, by the interrogator. By naming a room 'Room 17' that could just be extra mindfuck designed to sway Sheridan… because if this is happening in 17 other rooms, what chance do 'I' have of escape or survival.
Sheridan can't trust anything being given to him…
This is actually better than Chain of Command.
There's a subtle bit of reality in this episode. Military interrogation and tortue resistance training mandates for the first 48 hours only name, rank and number may be given. After then white lies inconsequential information and information that is out of date can be given to convince the interrogators that you have value in keeping you alive. William says that Sheridan hasn't eaten for at least 2 days.

If you could skip any episode and not miss any of the story, this is perhaps that episode.
However, I don't know anyone who would dare skip it, this episode is that good!

Sorry for all the comments, When they take Shariden to room 17 and you get that line I wish you didn't do that. To me it seemed more like he is reading off a script. Just like a sales person that calls you, they normally don't care but they have a script to follow if you say x or y. They also show that this is so much bigger than any one person, it is also like drumhead that people like this that will always come out of the woodworks when the enviroment is right. The only way he could care about this is if it looks good or bad on a review or bonus.
Imo: Wrestling is the soap opera for guys.
Brent said the second room and chair are the same because the budget. I have to disagree with that as it's not because of th budget, it shows you have this is a huge machine to control people and even the fact they tourcher people to control them it's just another day in a huge office that you just have another day, room, floor, or department. That is how little a person matters to this system.
The Best representation of the banality of Evil.
This episode being named the "new number 2" is satisfying for reasons. If you know, then you know. Be seeing you.

The interrogation of comes the inquisitor had a very different setup & goal, this episodes goal was to break Sheridan but CTI was to test Delenn to see if she was acting on ego that's why I never compare these episodes
Another bottle/two people in a room talking, is the Porridge episode 'A Night In'. Great writing to carry a comedy for this time.
Personally I have never really understood why people like this episode so much, for me it's always been boring if not straight uncomfortable to watch, and on top of that, it does literally nothing to advance the plot the slightest bit, you could skip this episode entirely on your first watch and would not even know it unless someone told you, because it literally does not affect the overall story at all.
