Blender Developers Live: Cycles-X – going BIG tile

Sergey will be working on tiled rendering support in Cycles X. The purpose of tile in this project is shifted from old-school work-balancing to memory saving for high-res rendering. This implies that the tile should be much larger that typical size in regular Cycles. Hence the name Big Tile!

Setup:
– Operating system: Linux Debian testing/sid
– Desktop environment: KDE
– Hardware: Intel i9-11900k, Asus Maximus XIII, NVIDIA RTX 6000 & 5000
– Keyboard: Cherry MX-Board 3.0 – Red switches
– Editor: VS Code
– VS Code Plugins: Git Lens, cpplint, and more but less interesting
– Font: Classic Console
