Build RISCV based IOT Systems using Yocto Project – Khem Raj, HIMVIS LLC

Yocto project offers tools for building customizing linux based distributions, which can scale from tiny systems to servers and bare-metal application development tools and techniques. This talk will cover building a linux based IOT system software using Yocto project and RISCV device/QEMU and also talk about bare-metal application development for RISCV32/RISCV64 using yocto project. The SDKs produced by yocto project can be deployed to further develop application ecosystem and frameworks outside yocto project as well. It will talk about intricacies of cross development and build acceleration technologies like shared-state which is unique to yocto project. At the same time this will be interesting for seasoned yocto project developers who are seeking to learn about RISCV architecture and ecosystem.
