Creating A Minecraft Server With Mine OS

Description:
Hello YouTube, today we are going to be talking about setting up a Minecraft Server using Mine OS. Mine OS is a free Linux distribution that makes setting up and running a Minecraft server a snap. It has a lot of built in features and a web ui that makes management of the server simple. If you have an old computer lying around you can just install Mine OS on that computer and get things up and running even easier. However, today we are going to focus on what to do if you don’t have an extra PC running around. You can run Mine OS from your own computer as a virtual machine using completely free software.

If you want to allow friends outside your network to join the server you will need to set-up port forwarding and have your outside IP handy or a DDNS if you have a DHCP ISP. We will talk about this in another video.
