Fix Windows Cannot Be Installed to this disk. Check disk's controller is enabled in BIOS – HP Compaq



In this video you see how you can fix the HP Compaq DC7800 error when installing Windows 10 on the computer. During the installation you may encounter the error “Windows Cannot be installed to this disk. This computer’s hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk’s controller is enabled in the computer’s BIOS menu.” The problem is the BIOS firmware is too old you will need to download the newer firmware to make the computer compatible with Windows 10.

Make sure you download for the latest version of the Windows OS you wanting to installed. If you are installing Windows 10, then you could pick the firmware Windows 7 64bit.
