How to Build a BUDGET HOME LAB to Learn Tech – Part 1

Building a home lab is a great way to get started with learning IT technologies. A home lab allows you to build and destroy virtual machines with minimal effort. Using virtualization software to create virtual machines is a very efficient way of maximizing the utility of limited resources. In my home lab, I am using VMware Work Station Pro 16.2.2 on one Laptop and Proxmox 7.2-7 on the second Laptop.

  • This is very relatable. I can't wait to setup my home lab although I will have to use only 1 laptop. Please make a video on how to use vitualbox to setup a lab since that is what I plan to use. VMware player does not support some features I want for my lab like snapshots and cloning.
