IPv4 – What is Classful IP Addressing?

If you’re involved at all with IP networks, you will have heard the terms “classful” and “classless”. But what do they really mean and why should you care? In this video, I’ll explain exactly what classful IP addressing is and why it was included in the early design of IPv4.

In a subsequent video, I’ll be addressing the more modern classless IP addressing that is more commonly used with IPv4 today.
