Many are choosing or forced to stick with Windows 10 – And here's why

Many users are not upgrading to Windows 11, either because they prefer Windows 10 over Windows 11, or their computer doesn’t meet the EliteClass minimum system requirements for Windows 11. With Windows 10 support ending in 2 years, Microsoft could be setting themselves up for a disaster.

  • A little clarification about the "EliteClass requirements" nickname I use for Windows 11's system requirements… the "EliteClass" nickname is not related to how powerful the computer is. Rather, it has to do with the Windows 11 CPU support list, and the TPM 2.0 requirements. There were a lot of computers built around 2016-2018 (or older) which can easily run Windows 11 with ease, yet don't meet the minimum requirements due to not having TPM 2.0 or the CPU being just a tad too old not to be included in the supported CPUs. There are newer computers which do meet the requirements, yet are much less powerful than many computers which don't meet the requirements. That's why I refer to the CPU and TPM 2.0 requirements as "EliteClass requirements". The CPU and TPM 2.0 requirements deny a lot of capable machines from official Windows 11 support, yet allow newer, cheap end computers (which may not run Windows 11 well) simply because they have TPM 2.0 and have a CPU that is featured in the support list. It's absurd that a $1000+ system built in 2017 with 8 cores, SSD, and 32GB RAM doesn't meet the requirements for Windows 11, yet a cheap Celeron system does meet the requirements.

  • No one in their right mind trusts Microsoft. They are one of the most untrustworthy companies there are. Windows is a piece of malware masquerading as an OS.

  • Windows 11 is great. You have to get used to it but then everyting is in the right place. (exept for control panel)
It`s logical MS is pushing TPM because it will enhance security in the future.

  • Only two windows operating systems were good! Windows XP and Windows 7!

  • I wouldn't call a celeron an elite class system over and 7700k system which is way way more powerful then the celeron system

  • and im downgrading to windowsd 10 as we all should

  • "Many arent downgrading to Win11" should be the title.

  • I am "air gap" and Windows 11 requires internet. It's right in the license agreement. And Windows apps on windows 10 stop working after a a year. So I switched to Linux and Wine where I could. I still have 3 windows 10 systems and two windows 7 systems and one windows XP system still running.

  • i intentionally turned off TPM so windows 10 wouldn't do what windows 7 once did to me.

on my laptop it attempted to install windows 11 and i shut that down before it could even download the updates.
i rather switch to linux than use windows 11 or 12.

  • They need to make left and right taskbar screen alignment a thing again. Some, like myself, cant stand the bar at the bottom or top. There seems to be a mod to add this, but afaik it's buggy. So stupid they took this feature away.

  • No way until they make taskbar as adjustable as it was in windows 10.

  • im not really sure what the point of this video is, like all versions of windows there are things to like and dislike as time goes on. However in the world we live in today its important to have the most up to date security protections when it comes to our devices especially home computers. Is it really worth making your personal data vulnerable by running an unsupported version of windows. yes there is a learning curve with windows 11 but its NOT difficult to get use too given time.
and as far as hardware goes, i have windows 11 running on a cheap HP laptop that we got off amazon a year or so ago.

  • The main thing I don't like about windows 11 is they want to sell subscriptions for everything, and the background processes that use half your monthly internet data. I keep windows 10 on my good old first gen i7 pc. Lately I have been in the linux mint mood, so that's what I have been using on my main pc.

  • See with Windows 11 it's fresh and has beautiful visuals but lacks lot of important features Windows 10 has I still use both Windows 10 and 11 enterprise. so i can have the best of both.

  • theres a app in the windows store to get the seconds on the calendar but its goes on the system try you click the Calander icon it opens the flyout like windows 10 but its not free in the store its like 2 $
