PK Solver – a free tool to analyse pharmacokinetic data and derive PK parameters

Mark Gardner, AMG Consultants described installing and using PK Solver – a Microsoft Excel add-in which complements the free BMGF-funded PK Tool for pharmacokinetic analysis and prediction. It takes raw data and calculates parameters such as half-life, volume, AUC etc. that can be used as input for the PK Tool. The original article has been cited over 500 times.

Mark Gardner described how to set PK Solver up, explained how to use it and provided some reference material. Three example use cases covered
1. Calculation of PK parameters from i.v. PK data
2. From plasma sampling in efficacy experiments
3. Use in batch mode
Mark also gave an update on plans to update the free BMGF PK Tool to make it more user-friendly and add in some additional capabilities.

This webinar is part of the Global Health Compound Design series and you might be interested in other talks on using the BMGF PK Tool. Recordings are available from MedChemClips on YouTube or via www.mmv.org.
