  • This video doesn't deserve a screenshot but to be saved in HDD and even in backup files. Thank you for this guide

  • I also ordered the Unix and Linux System Administration handbook! gonna make it my slave!

  • I've also bought the Unix and Linux system Administration handbook and I'm loving it..

    All my respect to Evi..

I've enrolled to your udemy class as well.. finally I found an amazing mentor

  • 4:24 I used that MIT Scheme book for Computer Science in university. I totally hated it and totally useless. That is insane to recommend that book for a system administrator or even a software developer.

  • Thanks for the Vid…Love the "No BS help"! And teach a man to fish concept.

  • I Bought the book Unix and Linux System Administration on your recommendation. I LOVE IT!
Thanks for all your hard work. Your videos are great.

  • I will try the books you have mentioned but up to now, my favourite linux system administration book has been "Linux Administration: A Beginner's Guide" by Wale Soyinka. I believe it is currently in its 7th or 8th edition. Highly recommended.

  • Hi Dave,

first of all thank you for the great content. I am halfway through your Linux tutorial series and really enjoy it.
I wanted to ask your opinion about the importance of formal education (university, …).

I finished about 4 semesters of a business informatics programme (I hope that is the right translation) but I quit since it focused more and more on business processes, project management, writing specifications and stuff like that. I ve been thinking about switching to something else, but I did so much cooler stuff since I quit (some programming projects, improving my math skills, learning linux) I need a job to support myself and studying part time on top of that was really hard on my relationship.
Now I got a new job as a kind-of junior sysadmin, although I mostly work on a database migration project. I really like my job but financially it is probably not going anywhere so I am afraid that in about 2-3 years I will be having a hard time getting better payment because I don t have any IT related degrees. What is your experience about that especially during your time in Europe?

  • what should I learn next to become a good programmer

  • thank u for the great video and I have ur video from udemy- . Question on name cheap what does one need to purchase in order go live on extreme limited budget watch stuff from udemy- video. Thanks in advance.
