Tech For Good: Harnessing Emerging Technologies To Do Good – GBBC Blockchain Central 2020

As laid out in the UN Secretary-General’s Strategy on New Technologies, emerging technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI), “hold incredible promise for the advancement of human welfare,” but “they also hold the potential to generate more inequality and more violence.” Tech companies and governments alike share the burden of ensuring technologies are a driver of positive change. In this panel, we will explore the evolution of blockchain and emerging technologies, efforts to impose sound governance, how these technologies are being utilized to good, and efforts to safeguard digital rights.
